On the day of the celebration of the memory of the Apostle Matthias, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian in the village of Yushkovo, Kasli district. The ruling bishop was co-served by the rector of the church, Priest Valery Borisenko, and the clergy of the Snezhinsky and Kasli deaneries. The elder sister of the monastic community of the village of Bulzi, nun Feodosia (Novgorodtseva), prayed during the service. The hymns of the service were performed by the Bishop's Choir under the direction of regent Marina Goman. In his sermon, Metropolitan Alexy heartily congratulated everyone on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord and noted that, despite the efforts of the atheists, the grace of God has not abandoned the church of the holy martyrs Cosmas and Damian in the village of Yushkovo - it is being restored, prayer is going on here, the Liturgy is being celebrated. “The church is the heart of our people.
