The clergyman is especially concerned about people’s attitude towards their own actions. Silchenkov said that many parishioners find it difficult to name their main sins and passions during confession. He considers another alarming trend to be the reduction in the number of church visitors after the pandemic. The priest connects what is happening with the influence of evil forces on human souls.
“If people repent and return to the church, then there will be no nuclear war. If they don’t repent, it will be necessary,” Silchenkov emphasized. He is convinced that in difficult times, it is believers and saints who can help prevent a large-scale disaster. The theologian urged people to turn to prayer more often and attend church, considering spiritual revival a condition for preventing a possible catastrophe.
