A diocesan cleric took part in a pastoral seminar on hospital ministry at the Trinity-Sergius Lavratranslated

With the blessing of Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, the secretary of the Tara diocesan administration, head of the social department of the diocese, priest Mikhail Safichuk, took part in a pastoral seminar on the peculiarities of caring for military hospitals and clinics.

The event took place from October 20 to 22, 2026 at the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra.

The seminar was organized by the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service. During the work, important issues of hospital ministry and the features of pastoral care for military personnel undergoing treatment were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to summarizing the accumulated experience of hospital service, as well as considering the most complex spiritual, moral and practical issues that arise for clergy when carrying out this obedience. The specifics of the work of priests on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the zone of a special military operation were separately considered.

Participation in such events allows priests to exchange practical experience with colleagues from other dioceses and gain the necessary knowledge for further effective work in the social and hospital spheres.
