The feast of Agios Iakovos Adelfotheos in Thessalonikitranslated

On Thursday, October 22, at the Parish Church of Agios Therapontos Kato Toumba, a Holy Vigil was held in memory of Agios Iakovos the Brother, the first Bishop of the Church of Jerusalem. At the ancient Divine Liturgy, His Holiness Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Filotheos, officiated and preached the divine word. Many clergy collaborated with His Holiness, the most prominent being the celebrant Father Iakovos Athanasios, his close partner in the administration of the Local Church, Protosygello of the Metropolis and priestly superior for many years of the Holy Church of Agios Therapontos.

At the Holy Altar, the Most Theophilous Bishop of Mesaoria, Mr. Grigorios from the Church of Cyprus, was present as a co-prayer.

Before the dismissal, His Holiness wished Father Iakovos on his name day and congratulated him on the great spiritual work he is doing in the Parish of Agios Therapontos Kato Toumpa.

A large number of believers participated in the Eucharistic Assembly and, during the distribution of the anti-gift, they wished the celebratory Protosigello.
