"Let's love the Church, let's share in the grace of the Holy Mysteries and not let sin take control of our souls," urged Metropolitan Irineu of Oltenia on Sunday.

His Eminence re-consecrated the church dedicated to "Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel" in Alimpești Parish, Gorj County, following the restoration works carried out in recent years.

The Most Reverend Father Irineu showed the importance of the event for the community: "It is a day of great joy for our Church. Whenever we consecrate a church, God watches over us in a special way and gives us His blessing."

"The house of God is built by the care of the Most Holy Trinity and by the love of the faithful. From now on, here we will come every Sunday and holiday, here we will baptize our children, we will be crowned, we will pray for the living and the sleeping, and God will reward the effort and faith of each of us."
