PSTGU accepts applications for participation in the school Olympiad on the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culturetranslated

The Orthodox St. Tikhon's Humanitarian University (PSTGU) has opened applications for participation in the All-Russian Olympiad “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture.”
In the 2026/27 academic year, schoolchildren are offered four main topics, the press service of PSTGU reported.
Main topics:
“Golden Ring”: the path to the shrines - about the history, architecture and Orthodox tradition of ancient cities
“Hieromartyr Peter (Polyansky): feat of fidelity to the Church”
“In the beginning was the Word”: the mission of the Russian Orthodox Church - the geography of faith and the unity of the peoples of Russia
"Theological heritage of St. Philaret of Moscow and Patriarch Photius of Constantinople"
In addition to these topics, the program also includes some topics from the past academic year: Orthodoxy in the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky, the anniversary of Simon Ushakov, the anniversaries of the Assumption and Kazan Cathedrals.
The Olympiad takes place in several stages: school, municipal, regional and finals. The school tour began on September 15 and will last until October 21 inclusive. This round is the starting stage, after which participants have the opportunity to move on.
