Pilgrims from Oshmyany visited the monastery of St. Paisius the Holy Mountaintranslated

With the blessing of the rector of the Church of the Resurrection, Archpriest George Mukha, Mother Irina and the parish sisterhood organized a pilgrimage in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara The bishop's women's compound in honor of the Monk Paisius the Svyatogorets, which is located in picturesque silence near the village of Olzhevo.

Sunday school graduates, active participants in parish initiatives, church choir singers and sisters of mercy set off on the journey. This trip was an opportunity to experience holiness in a place that one of the participants aptly described with the words: “The month is near to God.”

The central event of the day was the Saturday service, which was led by Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smorgon. For the Ashmyany church choir under the direction of Mother Irina Mukha, singing in the choir of the monastery church is an important and unusual experience, which allowed to feel more deeply the prayerful atmosphere of the monastery.

The pilgrims were warmly greeted by the abbess of the monastery, nun Cassiana (Kupalenko). She gave the guests a tour of the amazing newly built monastery, telling about the history of the church, built without a single nail. The four-legged locals - the dog Naid and... brought special joy to children and adults.
