Over 500 elderly people from Bacău county participated in a meeting dedicated to preventing social isolationtranslated

A number of 525 elderly people from Bacău county participated on Thursday in a community meeting dedicated to the prevention of social isolation.

The action was organized by the "Treime de Arhierei" Association and brought together the beneficiaries of 18 community clubs from the municipality and from several rural localities.

The program of the meeting "Senior Age, Active Age" began with the Holy Liturgy officiated by Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of the Roman and Bacău Archdiocese, at the Lazaret Parish Church in the city of Bacău.

The hierarch highlighted the importance of activities of this kind for the elderly: "Our church has several types of activities. The most dynamic, in general, are those with young people. And now it's the turn of the wisest of our family's loved ones, the elderly, our grandparents or our parents."
