The Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Ekaterinburg Diocese held the first pedagogical workshoptranslated

The Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Yekaterinburg Diocese held the first pedagogical workshop of the school year for Sunday school teachers. About 50 teachers from parochial schools of the Yekaterinburg Metropolis met in an online conference.
The first part of the workshop was devoted to an introduction to the theme of the year: “The Creation of Man. The image and likeness of God." The meeting began with a lecture on the creation of man, which was read for teachers by the head of the OroiK of the Yekaterinburg diocese, cleric of the Church of Greater Chrysostom, Priest Vasily Ravlik. During the lecture, the teachers had the opportunity to once again re-read selected texts of the Holy Scriptures about the creation of man, the image and likeness of God in man, the fall of our first parents and what happened to people, why they became “old,” and how the saving feat of our Lord Jesus Christ was accomplished. The text of the Holy Scriptures was commented on based on the interpretations of the holy fathers and modern theologians.
