The new edition of the Putna Colloquiums symposium will mark 560 years since the foundation of the Putna Monasterytranslated

Putna Monastery will organize and host, between July 9-12, 2026, a new edition of the "Putna Colloquiums" history symposium. This will mark 560 years since the foundation stone of the holy settlement was laid.

The symposium will begin on Thursday, at 9:00 a.m., with a Te Deum service officiated by the Most Reverend Father Damaschin Dorneanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuțil, in the voivodeship church of the monastery.

Gratitude On Friday, when the 560th anniversary of the foundation of the Putna Monastery is fulfilled, at the summer altar, from 7:00 a.m., the Holy Liturgy of thanksgiving will be celebrated, during which the historians who have gone to God, former collaborators of the Research and Documentation Center "Ștefan cel Mare" of the Putna Monastery, will be commemorated.

On Saturday, July 11, there will be a musicology session during which Archd. Serafim Grigorescu, Protopsalter of Putna Monastery, will present the book "Stihirarul Sfântului Macarie Protopsaltu".
