Fr. Prevas mentioned Northridge in California, but his point about teens helping set up the altar for Vespers—instead of just asking them to "be here"—actually made me think of our St. Mary's youth group. Has anyone tried that small step with the altar flowers?

At St. George's Church here in Nicosia, the young people help with the flowers on the throne every Tuesday before Vespers, as Anna wrote. We now also have the glasses for the coffee after the thanksgiving, which they bring themselves.

You're doing well and involving them like that, Vasiliki. In Larissa we have something similar to the children of the catechetical school who prepare the offerings every second Sunday – it was started by a mother and now they expect it. I ask, do you adults wash the glasses afterwards or is that left for the young children?
