After profound human sorrow, the Holy Metropolis of Syros announces the ordination to the Lord of blessed Archimandrite Dionysios Tzouvaras. The immigrant was born in the village of Orchomenos in Boeotia, on January 28, 1940.

He was ordained by the blessed Metropolitan of Syros Dorotheos I Deacon on April 14, 1976, in the Holy Church of Agia Kyriaki, Mykonos, and Elder on December 15, 1976, in the Holy Church of Agios Eleftherios, Piraeus.

He also received the office of Archimandrite from Blessed Dorotheos I on June 5, 1986, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior.

He was a brother of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Tourliani of Mykonos and served as a Deacon at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Ermoupolis and as a Vicar at the Holy Churches of Prophet Ilias Episcopate of Syros and Holy Trinity of Korissia Kea.
