Honoring Her holy face, every year, on these days the heart of the unspoiled Evros beats in the Forest of Dadia, world famous for its unique flora and unique fauna, in the idyllic natural environment of which stands the historic Monastery of Dadia, as a spiritual beacon, where on September 8, the day of the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin, devout Christians from the entire wider area of Evros flock to this holy place to worship the efesto, miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary.
