The Minister of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, met today with the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Filotheos.

The meeting, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Justice, took place at the offices of the Diocese and during it the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki informed the Minister about the pastoral and charitable work of the Diocese.

Mr. Floridis briefly explained to the Metropolitan all the changes that have been made in the area of ​​Justice and informed him about the important project of upgrading the Thessaloniki Courthouse.

At the same time, he focused the discussion on the progress that has been made in the field of child-friendly justice, with the strengthening of the operation of the "Children's Houses" that focus on the child and his protection.

Finally, the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki and the Minister of Justice expressed their willingness to continue mutual information and cooperation on common issues of solidarity concerning the city of Thessaloniki.
