On October 30, during the autumn holidays, the historical local history group “Search” of the Starogolchikhinsky primary school made a tourist trip through the territory of the Vichuga and Rodnikovsky districts of the Ivanovo region. The hike was led by a history and social studies teacher, cleric of the Resurrection Cathedral in the city of Vichuga, Deacon Sergius Bezzubov.

During the hike, the participants not only covered the route, but also got acquainted with the history and nature of their native land. Young local historians studied the area, observed changes in nature, and also discussed events related to the history of these places. Father Sergius found time to talk with the children about faith, the meaning of life and how important it is to preserve nature, historical memory and love one’s small homeland. 11 people took part in the trip. 10 kilometers were covered.
