Larisis Hieronymos: "Let the principles of loving coexistence characterize even economic systems"translated

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, officiated at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Achillios of Larissa. His Eminence decided to officiate in the Metropolitan Church, which is actually honored to a Saint who participated in the First Ecumenical Synod, in view of the convocation of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece next week, so that with the embassies of the Saint and the prayers of the Christ-named crew of the Church of Larissa, he could participate in its work.

In his sermon, His Holiness, taking occasion from today's gospel reading, referred to the principles of loving coexistence mentioned in it, as they are the most ideal to build a healthy society of solidarity, love, progress, spirituality and, in general, prosperity. He even emphasized that these principles must also characterize the economic systems, since the Church does not indicate a way of organizing society or the economy, it leaves man free to choose, but it gives principles, values, ideals which he wants to see prevail, precisely because they ensure prosperity, peace...
