Metropolitan Nikita attended the plenary session of the forum “Russia - a sports power”translated

On October 23, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk attended the plenary session of the XIV International Sports Forum “Russia is a Sports Power,” which was held for three days at the Siberia International Exhibition and Business Center in Krasnoyarsk. The chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports, Metropolitan of Murmansk and Monchegorsk Mitrofan, also took part in the forum.

The focus of the gathering was on strategic decisions for the development of sports in the country - from improving infrastructure to promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening international cooperation. The moderator was Advisor to the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Dmitry Guberniev.

The meeting began with a video message from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the participants and guests of the forum. Among the speakers were the Minister of Sports of Russia Mikhail Degtyarev, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk, the President of the International School Sports Federation Zeljko Tanaskovich, as well as representatives of the sports departments of Cuba and Uzbekistan.
