On the Feast of the Veneration of the Life-Giving Cross, the XVII Danilov Bells Festival of bell ringing took place at the Danilov Male Monastery on September 27, 2026. For the first time, the senior instructor of the Ural Bellringing Center, Olga Mchedlidze, participated in the festival.

Already for the 17th time, bell ringers from different cities of Russia gathered in Moscow to delight the festival audience with a rich program of bell ringing and share their experience. The event was opened by the senior bell ringer and director of the Danilov Bellringing Center, Hierodeacon Roman (Ogryzko). The pastor welcomed and thanked the participants for finding the opportunity to take part in the traditional festival, wishing the listeners to be filled with joy and to touch the beautiful art of bell ringing.

Ringing sounded on 18 historical bells of the monasteries, returned from Harvard University in 2008. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Danilov bells were considered among the best in Moscow.
