The hierarchs of the Metropolis of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj met on Monday in a working session at the metropolitan residence in Cluj-Napoca.
The work of the Metropolitan Synod was led by His Eminence Father Andrei, Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj.
The meeting was attended by Bishops Iustin of Maramureș and Sătmar, Benedict of Sălaj, Vicar Bishop Samuel Bistrițeanul of the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj, and Vicar Bishop Timotei Sătmăreanul of the Diocese of Maramureș and Sătmar.
Administrative, missionary-pastoral, cultural and social-philanthropic problems were discussed, which concern church life within the metropolitan area.
The proposal of the liturgical text for the Chapel of the Holy Priest Martyr Liviu Galaction from Cluj was analyzed, with a view to submitting it for approval to the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The synod approved the change of the status of the "Petru Rareș Vodă" Monastery in Ciceu-Corabia, Bistrița-Năsăud county, from a monastery of monks to a monastery of monks.
