On October 7, 2026, the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, met with the delegation of the Synodal Missionary Department and the Orthodox Missionary Society operating under it in the name of St. Innocent of Moscow (PMO).

The delegation included an employee of the Synodal Missionary Department, executive secretary of the Orthodox Missionary Society in the name of St. Innocent of Moscow Evgeniy Ivanov, an employee of the Synodal Missionary Department, member of the Orthodox Missionary Society in the name of St. Innocent of Moscow Maria Arinushkina, a member of the Orthodox Missionary Society in the name of St. Innocent of Moscow, responsible for missionary work in Pavel Korolev of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky deanery of the Moscow Metropolis, as well as the head of the Missionary Society in the name of the martyr Nicholas of Varzhansky, member of the Commission for Church Rehabilitation of Persons who have fallen away from Orthodoxy, under the Diocesan Council of the City of Moscow Dmitry Zakharkin.
