Diocesan missionaries together with the Russian Society “Knowledge” are implementing a spiritual and educational projecttranslated

In September and October 2026, within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Society “Knowledge” and the Diocesan Department for Youth Affairs and Missionary Service of the Rostov-on-Don Diocese, with the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, a series of educational events took place. Lectures were held at SRSPU (NPI), SFU, RGEU (RINH) and MI Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Southern Federal District.

Five educational events were held in September, attended by more than 1,000 people.

The lecturers were the rector of the Church of All Saints, who shone in the Russian land, Archpriest Sergius Krasnikov, the rector of the Constantine All Saints Church in Rostov-on-Don Alexey Ivanovich Kashuba, Priest Alexander Kushnir and the deacon of the Rostov Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dmitry Kolyada.

During the meetings, the role of the family as a pillar of the state, the importance of traditional religions of Russia and interfaith harmony, the linguistic and cultural diversity of the peoples of the country, as well as issues of countering the incitement of interethnic and interfaith hatred were discussed.
