Press conference on the pilgrimage to the relics of St. Demetrius the New: Advice from law enforcementtranslated

The Romanian Patriarchate and law enforcement involved in the organization of the pilgrimage to the relics of St. Demetrius the New held a press conference on Thursday in which they announced the organizational measures and offered advice for pilgrims.

"We are happy for the fact that this year, despite the less favorable weather, we have had a large number of believers who have already participated in the pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Demetrius the New," said Rev. Adrian Agachi, patriarchal adviser and spokesperson of the Romanian Patriarchate.

"We believe that, in an increasingly polarized society, pilgrimage is a useful soul medicine that can contribute to a deeper communion between people, to ensure a sense of peace and tranquility and to follow the virtues of the saints."

Looking to the virtues of the saints Rev. Adrian Agachi thanked the police and the volunteers of the Archdiocese of Bucharest for the organizational effort.
