Ekaterinburg Theological Seminary will co-organize the “Breweries Readings-2026”translated

The conference “The Fourth Pivovarov Readings”, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the “Religious Studies” direction at the Ural University, will be held on November 14–15, 2026 with the support of the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary.
The main organizer of the forum will be the Ural Federal University.
The conference will also bring together two more significant events for the religious studies community: a discussion of the scientific heritage of the philosopher D. V. Pivovarov (1943–2016) and a round table in memory of E. A. Stepanova (1956–2026), dedicated to the topic of the presence of religion in the public sphere.
The conference topics cover a wide range of current issues: paradoxes of the presence of religion in the public sphere, understanding religion in the context of digital transformation, historical and biblical studies.
Researchers, scientists, interested persons from the academic and educational environment, and cultural figures are invited to participate in the conference.
