Deacon Vadim Vakulich made a presentation at the III International Colloquium in Memory of Metropolitan Philaret (Vakhromeev) in Minsktranslated

From October 20 to 21, 2026, the III International Colloquium in Memory of Metropolitan Philaret (Vakhromeev) was held in Minsk on the topic: “Holy Scripture: translation, interpretation, interpretation. To the 150th anniversary of the Synodal Translation of the Bible." The annual event aims to perpetuate the memory of the Hero of Belarus, the First Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Philaret, as a professor and teacher, as well as the exchange of scientific research in the field of exegesis of Holy Scripture. This year marks 150 years since the appearance of the Synodal Russian translation, which is still in common use. In this regard, special attention at this colloquium was paid to the issues of translation, interpretation and understanding of the Holy Scriptures, its significance in the formation of world culture and the spiritual life of man, taking into account the modern realities of social development.
