On Sunday, July 5, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk led the Liturgy in the church in honor of the righteous Alexander Chagrinsky in Samara.

During this difficult time for the Church, Saint Eusebius contributed to the election of Saint Meletius, known for his commitment to the Orthodox faith, to the See of Antioch. After it became obvious that the new archpastor was a strong defender of the teachings of the Church, supporters of Arianism demanded that Eusebius return the written document on the election of Meletius, but the saint refused to do this.
