On October 2, 2026, the dean of the parishes of the Taganrog district, the rector of St. George's Church, Priest Boris Gushchin, visited the State Educational Institution RO Taganrog School No. 1 for children with special educational needs. Priest Boris congratulated the teaching staff on the upcoming professional holiday - Teacher's Day.

Addressing those gathered, the dean noted the importance of the teacher’s work in not only education, but also the spiritual and moral development of the younger generation. The priest wished the teachers strength, patience and God's help in their difficult ministry.

“Teaching is not just a profession, but a ministry. Every day you put a piece of your soul into your children. This work, which requires dedication, love and patience, cannot be overestimated,” noted Priest Boris Gushchin.

The festive event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Songs and poems were sung for teachers, dance numbers and a show program were presented. Young artists prepared creative performances for their mentors, which became a gift for the holiday.
