The Church of the "Al. Obregia" Hospital in the Capital marked Mental Health Day through prayer, philanthropy and therapytranslated

A more special Liturgy was held at the church of the Clinical Psychiatry Hospital "Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia" in Bucharest on Thursday, to mark in advance the World Mental Health Day, celebrated annually on October 10.
Together with Fr. Florin-Ciprian Petre, the charity priest who serves at the hospital church, two invited priests served: father Mihai Ciprian Vișoiu, minister at the Voila Psychiatric Hospital in Câmpina, and father Eugen Șerban, from Melicești Parish, Protoieria Câmpina.
Together with the charity priests, medical professionals and patients prayed. "The presence of medical assistant Dr. Corina Gagiu, director of care at the hospital, highlighted the importance of collaboration between the pastoral ministry and the activity of the medical staff, in the framework of an integrative approach to the care of people with mental illnesses," said Prof. Florin-Ciprian Petre.
In this context, it was emphasized that the human person cannot be reduced to his diagnosis, and his care implies respect for his dignity and his medical, psychological and spiritual needs.
