Professor George Remete will be awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Alba Iulia" on Monday. The festive moment will take place, at 18:00, at the Faculty of Theology in Alba Iulia, in the "St. Pr. Mărt. Dumitru Stăniloae" Hall.

The Local Council of Alba Iulia decided to give the distinction to Father George Remete, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, following the decision adopted on June 29 this year. Father Professor stands out in Alba Iulia, through his academic, theological and cultural life.

The word of Laudatio will be given by the archbishop. university conf. dr. Răzvan Brudiu, director of the Department of Orthodox Theology and PhD supervisor in the field of Theology, and the celebration will be officiated by Mr. Gabriel Pleșa, the mayor of Alba Iulia, together with Ion Dumitrel, the president of the Alba County Council.
