9-year anniversary of the election of Metropolitan Trikkis Chrysostomou (VIDEO)translated

It was Friday, October 9, 2015, when the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, meeting at the Holy Monastery of Petraki, elected Archimandrite Chrysostomos Nassi as the new Metropolitan of Trikki and Stagion with 48 votes. Eleven years later, the local Church remembers with emotion that great day that sealed the spiritual path of the place.

In the Conference Hall of the Holy Synod, the newly elected Metropolitan addressed his Short Message, warmly thanking His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Hieronymus, the Venerable Hierarchs for their honest vote and trust, and especially his Elder, Metropolitan of Trikki and Stagon, Mr. Alexios, who with holy wisdom and humility voluntarily resigned, paving the way for his successor, Metropolitan Chrysostomos.

After the election, the new Metropolitan went down to the Holy Monastery of the Incorporeal Petrakis, where he delivered his Great Message, amidst a climate of deep emotion and joy. There he was enthusiastically welcomed by priests from Trikala, Thessaloniki, Preveza and other parts of Greece, as well as his parents, siblings, relatives, friends, rulers of the place, and a multitude of believers from Trikala and beyond.
