The balance sheet of the "Alba Vernaculară" summer school: 22 other thatched roofed houses from Apuseni were documentedtranslated

The participants of the second edition of the "Alba Vernacular" Summer School identified and documented another 22 thatched roofs from the town of Intregalde, Alba County.
The objectives studied this year are added to the 34 such thatched roofs identified last year on the Transapuseana, in the communes of Râmeț, Ponor and Mogoș.
According to Museikon, during one week were documented: 22 shurs, 5 houses, 3 furnaces, 5 poiets and gabanases. Surveys, plans and architectural details were drawn up for 3 farms, 2 houses and a furnace, as well as a landscape study for the Iliești-Morușcani area.
A study was carried out on the Structural Behavior of Traditional Wooden Straps with Straw Wraps. Proposals were made to change the function of some doors and interior design.
At the same time, interviews were conducted with local residents about beliefs, practices and symbols intended to protect the shelters.
The summer school took place between July 25 and August 1 and brought together 30 specialists and students in the fields of architecture and urban planning, restoration, structural engineering, history, ethnology, interior design, film and photographic art.
