Archbishop Nikanor attended the gala concert of the festival-competition for children with disabilities “Singing Islands”translated

The anniversary creative festival-competition for children with disabilities “Singing Islands” this year brought together more than 250 young islanders aged 5 to 18 years. The gala concert, which traditionally took place on the main stage of the Sakhalin region in the Chekhov Center, brought together not only the best competition numbers of this year, but also the performances of the winners over the entire 10-year history of the festival.
The participants demonstrated their talents in a variety of areas: vocals, choreography, instrumental creativity, artistic expression, gestural singing, visual and arts and crafts.
Among the honored guests, the festival was attended by Archbishop Nikanor of Yuzhno-Sakhalin and Kuril. His Eminence addressed those present with a word of greeting and also presented a special prize to one of the young participants.
