Message of compassion and solidarity following the tragic train accident in Spaintranslated

It is with deep pain and sorrow that I learned of the tragic railway accident in the Spanish province of Toledo, which caused loss of life and injury to many people, mourning many families and bringing suffering to the Spanish people.

In these trying moments, the Romanian Patriarchate expresses its deep compassion and solidarity with the Spanish people, hard tried by this tragedy, as well as with the families of those who lost their lives, with the injured and with all those affected by this painful event.

We pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to rest in peace the souls of those who have passed to the eternal ones, to give a speedy recovery to the wounded and to bring comfort, spiritual strengthening and hope to the grieving families.

In these moments of deep suffering, we are with the entire Spanish people, entrusting to God's mercy and love all those who have been affected by this tragedy.
