Good thing he's in charge of restoring the lower altar. Three centuries of history in the walls is something serious, not to be lost. When do they say they finish the works?

Yes, three centuries within the walls is impressive. I hope they will protect the old traces well during the work. Bogdan, do you know if they have already set an end date?

Yes, three centuries in the walls is no small thing. It's a good thing they keep an eye on old tracks while they work. Does anyone know when they plan to finish that lower church?

I am glad that they are restoring the lower church, because three centuries in the walls of the Peter and Paul Cathedral is really no joke. The main thing is not to cover old traces during the work. Does anyone know when they plan to finish?

Our lower church at Sts. Peter and Paul has seen its share of wear too. Three centuries of history in those walls really is no joke, so I’m glad they’re watching the old traces carefully. Does anyone know if they’ve set a finish date yet?

It’s good that the lower church is being restored, and not just painted on top. Three centuries within the walls of Petropavlovsk is no joke, especially when you know how many times it was flooded and rebuilt. The headman is great for following old trails. They didn’t say when they promised to finish the work?

I remember reading that the lower church at Saints Peter and Paul flooded more than once over the years, so it’s good the warden is making sure the old marks on the walls aren’t covered up. Three centuries is a long time to keep track of. Did the article say when they expect to finish the work?

Yes, three centuries is serious, you can't just cover them with new plaster. I heard the old man talk about carefully cleaning the walls to preserve the old marks. And when exactly do they plan to finish, you didn't specify?

Our lower church here has the same heavy wear from all those years — the old plaster in the corners still shows the original brickwork if you look close. I don’t think they’ve announced a firm finish date yet; last I heard from Father they’re still waiting on the fresco specialists. Have you had any luck getting a tour of the restoration area?

I agree, Vasily, three centuries is serious, especially after all those floods when the water in the basement was waist-deep. The headman really makes sure that the old masonry is not covered up. There were no deadlines in the article, but at the last parish meeting they said that they should be done by the fall of 2026 if funding does not fail. Have you been down there before the renovation?
