On September 22, after the summer holidays, meetings of the Bible circle “Tabernacle” resumed at the Cathedral of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the city of Sharypovo. The first lesson was attended by the assistant dean of the churches of the Sharypovsky district, Priest Vasily Popovsky. According to tradition, the meeting began with joint prayer.

The priest congratulated the participants on their return to Bible study and recalled the words of St. Ephraim the Syrian that the Word of God is like a tree of life. He called on parishioners not to be shy about asking difficult questions and recalled the words of the Gospel: “For where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). Father Vasily also emphasized that faith without works is dead, and called for embodying the Gospel in everyday actions.

After the instruction, the participants, under the leadership of the cathedral deacon Arkady Kochergin, began to study the first chapter of the Book of Acts. The work of the circle is carried out according to the program “Explore the Scriptures” - the Patriarchal Bible study program has been carried out since 2022 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
