A new season of “Resurrection Days” has opened in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimontranslated

A new season of classes for the children of the parish has begun in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon. This year the usual Sunday school received a new name - “Voskresniki”.

This name was not chosen by chance. The organizers strive to move away from the usual school format and make Sunday meetings for children a time of live communication, creativity, joint activities and acquaintance with the Orthodox faith.

The format of classes has also changed. Now they take place not only in the classroom: the children create interactive collages, participate in educational quests on Christian topics, and practice painting in the open air. In the future, it is planned to develop other creative and educational areas.

“Voskresniks” bring together children of different ages - from 3 to 14 years old. They try to choose an activity for everyone according to their age and interests. The main goal of the meetings is to help the children feel part of the parish community, together learn new things about the faith and learn to glorify God “with one heart and one mouth.”

Welcome to the new name "Voskresnikites"! I loved that the children now make interactive collages and stories on Christian topics, not just sit in the classroom. As a mother of a small child, I would like to know if there will be a special group for those 3-4 years old, because in our boutique I see how quickly they get tired when it is too structured.

It's good that they changed the format, collages and quests sound more interesting than just sitting in a bench. Here in Belgrade, I often pass by the church of Saint Panteleimon on my bicycle, so I will stop by to see how it looks. Elena, for those aged 3-4, they will probably do something easier, maybe just a game and short stories, ask the organizers.
