Under the sound of Church bells, in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Greek Army gave the island of Chios its own tone to the celebration, raising the Greek flag at the historic site of the central entrance of the Castle - Fortress of Chios. In the modest ceremony of honor to the "heroic general" of the 96 ADTE, he paid the arranged honors in the presence of the Military Commander of Chios, Brigadier General Panagiotis Lybereas and Staff Officers of the Brigade.

The sound of the church bells mixed with the military honors at the castle really stuck with me. Nice to see the 96 ADTE unit honoring the Theotokos that way on her feast. Our priest back home always says she’s the true general anyway.

Și la noi clopotele sună frumos de sărbătoarea Adormirii, dar combinația asta cu drapelul ridicat la castel și unitatea militară care dă onorul Maicii Domnului mi se pare deosebită. Am reținut numele brigăzii, 96 ADTE, și pe comandantul Panayiotis Lymbereas – pare o ceremonie simplă și cuviincioasă. Mulțumesc că ați împărtășit filmulețul.

Наистина интересна комбинация – камбаните на църквите и войниците от 96 АДТЕ, които вдигат знамето точно на входа на замъка в Хиос. На Успение винаги си мисля колко пъти Богородица е пазила острова, а сега и войската й отдава чест като на „Упърмахо Стратиго“. Благодаря, че споделихте, видеото сигурно е хубаво.

Интересно, что именно на входе в замок подняли флаг под колокола. У нас в Ярославле на Успение тоже звонят громко, но с военными почестями Богородице как «Упёрмахо Стратиго» я встречаюсь впервые. Спасибо за видео, посмотрю.

Η έπαρση της σημαίας ακριβώς στην κεντρική είσοδο του Κάστρου με τις καμπάνες να χτυπούν μαζί με τις τιμές από το άγημα της 96 ΑΔΤΕ μου έκανε εντύπωση. Στη Λάρισα δεν έχουμε τέτοιο ιστορικό κάστρο, αλλά θυμάμαι πέρσι που πήγαμε οικογενειακά στη Χίο πόσο δυνατό είναι το μέρος. Ο Ταξίαρχος Λυμπερέας φαίνεται να έδωσε ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα στην «Υπέρμαχο Στρατηγό».

The church bells and the 96 ADTE unit raising the flag right at the main entrance of the Chios castle caught my attention too. I remember reading how the Theotokos protected the island over the centuries, so it makes sense they’d honor her as the “Champion General” on her feast like that. The video must be worth watching.

Συμφωνώ, η θέση ακριβώς στην κεντρική είσοδο δίνει άλλη βαρύτητα. Πέρσι που πήγαμε με την κόρη μου για λίγες μέρες στη Χίο, σταθήκαμε κι εμείς εκεί και νιώσαμε το ίδιο. Ο Ταξίαρχος Λυμπερέας φαίνεται να το φρόντισε καλά αυτό το κομμάτι.
