Clergy of the Barysh and Melekes dioceses performed a prayer service to the blessed Matrona of Moscowtranslated

On August 16, after the Divine Liturgy at the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral, the secretary of the Melekes diocesan administration, Hieromonk Proclus (Boiko), the dean of the IV district, the chairman of the department for youth affairs of the Barysh diocese, Archpriest Andrei Filkin, and the dean of the I district of the Barysh diocese, Priest Evgeniy Trofimov, performed a prayer service at the ark with a piece of the relics of the holy blessed Matrona of Moscow.

Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Dimitrovgrad under the direction of regent Alexandra Chebakova.

The bringing of the saint’s relics is carried out with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' within the framework of the educational choral project “Rhythms of Faith”. The ark with the relics of the holy blessed Matrona of Moscow will remain in the Spaso-Ascension Cathedral in Ulyanovsk until August 23.

I always light a candle to St. Matrona when I’m having a rough day with the kids at school. Nice to see Fr. Prokl and Fr. Andrei serving together at the cathedral — hope the choir from Dimitrovgrad comes back for the patronal feast. Will the relics still be there this coming weekend?

Yes, I also often pray to the holy Matrona, especially when the children at school are restless and I cannot calm them down. It is good that Father Proclus and Father Andrei served together, and Alexandra Chebakova's choir sounded so fine. I will try to go on Saturday before the relics leave on the 23rd.

Moleben was beautiful, the choir from Dimitrovgrad under Alexander Chebakov sang really beautifully. I was on Saturday morning in Spaso-Voznesenski, the coffin is still there until the 23rd, as it says. Fotina and Bogdana, and I often light a candle to Matrona when my sons get confused at school, it helps.
