Patriarch Porfirios and Trump's Advisor at Visoki Detsani Monasterytranslated

Their joint visit to the holy shrines of the Serbian Church continues with the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porphyrios and the spiritual adviser of the President of the United States of America Donald Trump, pastor dr. Mark Burns. After yesterday's visit to the historic seat of the Serbian Patriarchs in the Pets Monastery, today they visited the Visoki Detsani Monastery.

At the gate of the ancient Serbian sanctuary, the Patriarch and the distinguished visitor from the United States of America were welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Theodosios of Raska and Prizren, and His Eminence Archimandrite Savvas with the fraternity of the Detsani Monastery.

Immediately after the celebration of the Doxology for the reception of the Serbian Primate in the Catholic Church of the Monastery, the Patriarch Mr. Porphyry and Pastor Burns venerated the relics of St. King Stephen of Detsani, and then Abbot Savvas presented the guests with the rich history of the sanctuary of Detsani, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Elizabeth TaylorInteresting to see Pastor Mark Burns at Visoki Decani with Patriarch Porfirije. The part where they venerated the relics of St. Stephen of Decani right after the Doxology stuck with me. Hope the abbot Sava’s tour of the monastery’s history gave the American visitor a real sense of why it’s on the UNESCO list.
