Welcome Father Grigorios. I saw that he went through St. John's Metropolitan Cathedral in Tenafly and then became Archdeacon in New Jersey – shows that he knows his business. May God help him in his new role at Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Hello π. Γρηγορίο. I was impressed that he went from προϊστάμενος to Άγιο Ιωάννη to Τέναφλαϊ directly from Πρωτοσύγκελλος to Νεα Ιερσέη – it shows that he knows both administration and pastoral care. Εύχομαι να τον ο Θεός και το να του στην του Αγια τριάδα.

P. Grigorios seems to have a strong preparation both in studies and in administration, as you say. I liked that he went through so many parishes before he got here – he shows patience. I hope he finds strength in New York, Holy Trinity is a big responsibility.

Yes, George, that transition from one diocese to another really shows patience and real experience. I was impressed that he has a PhD in Patrology – it will help us a lot when he explains the Scriptures in the church. What do you think, will something change in the liturgy there at Trinity?

Yes, Thomas, moving from one diocese to another really shows experience. A doctorate in Patrology is a rare thing, it will do us good when he talks about the Fathers of the Church. As for the liturgy at Trinity, I don't think it will change much - there is a strong Greek tradition there, but let's see how it will find its place.

Yeah, that Patrology doctorate from Catholic University stands out. A guy who served at St. John the Theologian in Tenafly, then chancellor in New Jersey, and now heading to Holy Trinity in New York definitely brings real experience. Hope the Lord gives him strength for it.

Yes, Dhimitër, the doctorate in Patrology really attracts attention, especially when you think that he will talk to us about the Fathers during the sermons. I've been reading a bit of St. Basil the Great lately and it's helped me a lot in the kitchen when I'm making bread – like an old recipe that doesn't go wrong. What do you think, will he still maintain that quiet liturgical style he had in Tenafly or will he bring some minor changes?

I completely agree, Ljubica. I'm really glad that he has so much practical experience in both parishes and administration, it certainly helps him in such a big church as the Holy Trinity. Did you maybe attend a service with him in Tenafly?
