Theodosios of Kinshasa: "The world is not looking for judge priests, but for compassionate priests"translated

On the Sunday after the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Youth Office of the Holy Metropolis of Kinshasa organized the General Meeting of the youth of the city's parishes, which took place at the Missionary Staircase of St. Mark. In the morning, the High Priestly Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kinshasa, Mr. Theodosios, with the participation of Priests and Deacons.

During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence proceeded to the ordination to Elder of the Theologian Father Jacob Loho, a graduate of the Theological School of the Orthodox University of the Congo "Saint Athanasios the Athonite".

The newly ordained Elder, in his speech, after referring to paternal positions regarding the mystery of the Priesthood, thanked the Most Reverend Metropolitan for the opening of Orthodoxy also in his particular homeland, in the Province of Maidobe, where the Mission is essentially starting from scratch.

At the same time, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity offered to him to study at the Theological School, as well as for the trust with which the Metropolitan surrounded him, joining him in the ranks of the Holy Clergy.
