Saint Great Martyr Andrew the Soldier and with him 2593 Martyrs Soldiers A multitude of Saints and Martyrs of the ancient Church highlighted the Roman army. These days I was reading about that battle against the barbarians that the article mentions, every time I thought about Andrew's bravery as a tribune. 2593 soldiers with him – it is not a small number, it shows how deeply the trust in the army was rooted. Thanks for the reminder, it makes us think a little more seriously about our days.

It's interesting how that Maximian Galerius ruled just then, and Andrias with those 2593 soldiers managed to lead them all to faith and martyrdom. Elena, I also wondered how much courage it took to turn against the emperor after so many victories over the barbarians. Thanks to Lambrus for the text, he reminded me of true military strength.
