The book by Dimitrios L. Papadakis, philologist and former High School Principal, entitled "The Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromenis Ierapetra", is an important publishing contribution of the Holy Metropolis of Ierapytni and Sitia to the ecclesiastical, historical and cultural memory of our place. The luxury edition with a hard cover of 478 pages in four colors and 28x21 format was produced in Ierapetra in 2025, edited by Rev. Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitia Mr. Kyrillos.

The renowned author approaches the Monastery of Faneromeni not just as a historical monument, but as a living ecclesiastical place, inextricably linked to the faith of the people, the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the monastic tradition, national struggles and social ministry.
