Thank you for this text. I was especially struck by the part with Paul's tears when he wrote - "out of much distress and anguish of heart, with many tears" - to show them his love, not to make them sad. It reminds me that sometimes when I scold a teenage girl at home, I cry afterwards too, but I do it out of love, not anger. How was he able to transform pain into such care for the Corinthians?

Yes, the part with Pavla's tears also touched me. He writes to them out of great distress and anguish of heart, with many tears, just to show them how much he loves them more than usual. Just like you said, Daniela, when you scold a teenager at home and you start to cry - that's love that hurts, but it won't hurt. Thanks for the reminder.

Thank you, Daniela, for remembering exactly the verse with Paul's tears. And it seems to me that true love goes through pain, not around it. At our house, when I cry after a fight with my daughter, I try to tell her the next day that those tears were because I care too much for her, not to punish her. Do you think that Paul was able to do this precisely because he prayed a lot before writing?

And I, when I read how Paul cries writing the epistle so as not to hurt the Corinthians, I think of that seam on my niece's dress that I undid three times until it came out properly - out of love, not anger.
