On the afternoon of Thursday, August 13, 2026, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Panteleimon officiated during the service of the Great Canon of Prayer and the Praises to the Most Holy Theotokos at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Komotini. Before the dismissal, His Holiness spoke to the congregation about the face of the Virgin Mary as the refuge and hope of the faithful.

And he prayed fervently that the Mother of God would protect and strengthen everyone, giving health, peace and spiritual joy to families and our country.

Χαίρομαι που ο Σεβασμιώτατος μίλησε για την Παναγία ως καταφυγή, αυτό το χρειάζονται πολλοί σήμερα. Στην Αθήνα δεν προλαβαίνουμε πάντα να πάμε σε τέτοιες ακολουθίες, αλλά είναι ωραίο να βλέπεις ότι γίνονται και σε άλλες πόλεις όπως η Κομοτηνή. Ευχόμαστε να μας προστατεύει πράγματι με υγεία και ειρήνη.
