Event for the beginning of the new Ecclesiastical yeartranslated

The Parish of Agios Georgios Pyrgos and the Cultural Association of Pyrgos Women organized, in the beautiful courtyards of I.N. Agios Georgios Pyrgos, an event dedicated to the beginning of the Indictus and the environment. The event was preceded by a Consecration for the new church year, under Rev. Our Metropolitan Mr. Amfilochiou. This was followed by the reading of the significant message of the Indictus of His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew. Afterwards, the Vicar of the Parish, Rev. Rev. Fr. Antonios Koumis followed by greetings from Organizations and Representatives. The psychologist Mr. Nikolaos Tripodakis, then, spoke on the topic: "Climate Deregulation - Anthropogenic Intervention (?)". The speaker in his eloquent and meaningful speech, with the projection of slides, referred to the "big problem of humanity, the climate crisis, a result of the reckless behavior of man in the environment".

He talked about the consequences on the planet, Europe, Greece, ending up in Crete and Kissamos. The speech was followed by a greeting from our Bishop, who expressed his joy and satisfaction for the organization of the event as well as for the fact of the crowd...
