Nice to see the Metropolitan welcoming Konstantinos Argyros in such a warm way, especially with the ancient theatre of Plovdiv as the backdrop. The presence of the puppet theatre folks from Pazardzhik and the composer Evgeni Genchev makes it feel like a real local cultural get-together. Hope the concert was as good as the welcome sounded.

I like that they brought in the folks from the Konstantin Velichkov puppet theatre in Pazardzhik and Evgeni Genchev. It turns a simple welcome into something that actually feels tied to the local arts scene instead of just photo-op stuff. The ancient theatre in Plovdiv is a perfect spot for a first Bulgarian concert.

It is interesting that people from the "Konstantyn Velychkov" puppet theater from Pazardzhik and the composer Yevgeny Genchev were invited. It really connects meeting local artists, not just a formal photo. I think that the concert in the ancient theater of Philippopolis will turn out in a special way.

Yeah, the puppet theatre crew from Pazardzhik showing up really does make it feel like a proper neighborhood gathering. I wonder if Evgeni Genchev played anything during the visit. Hope the ancient theatre acoustics held up for the concert.

I am very glad that they invited those from the "Konstantin Velichkov" puppet theater from Pazardzhik and the composer Evgeni Genchev. It really turns an ordinary reception into something related to the local scene, not just a photo. I wonder how the concert in the ancient theater went, I hope the acoustics were good.

It is interesting that you paid attention to the Konstantin Velychkov and Genchev theaters. It also seems to me that because of them, the meeting turned out alive, and not just a protocol. Have you heard how Argyros sounds in such an ancient amphitheater, or just read it?

Interestingly, they also brought the people from the "Konstantin Velichkov" puppet theater in Pazardzhik, along with Evgeni Genchev. This makes the meeting seem more about the place, not just a formal picture. I wonder what Argyros' voice sounded like in the ancient theater with its thousand-year-old acoustics.

I agree, pulling in the puppet theatre crew and Evgeni Genchev made it feel more grounded in Pazardzhik and Plovdiv’s own scene. The ancient theatre is such a fitting choice too – I’ve run past those ruins a few times during summer visits and it’s hard to imagine a better backdrop for live music. Did you catch any of his concert?
