Loss of control over artificial intelligence, which surpasses humans in intellectual capabilities, can lead to catastrophic consequences, including the extinction of humanity. Hinton warned of the danger of a situation in which more intelligent AI systems are no longer under human control. He named the disappearance of humanity as a possible consequence of this development of events. Geoffrey Hinton is called one of the “godfathers” of artificial intelligence. He participated in the creation of an artificial neural network known as the Boltzmann machine.
