Today in the Kazan diocese there is a walk along the Macarius Path - a prayer procession along the historical path along which the Venerable Macarius of Zheltovodsk and Unzhensky returned from Kazan captivity in 1439.

It is interesting that they have passed along this exact road since 1439. Do the laity still carry icons and sing the akathist, as was the tradition? Thanks for the news, I will pray for the participants today.
