An exhibition at the Suțu Palace presents 70 works donated to the Bucharest Pinacotecatranslated

The exhibition "Echoes in heritage. The BCR donation to the Bucharest Pinacoteca" will be opened at the Suțu Palace and will present 70 works of art included in the heritage of the Bucharest City Museum, on September 10.
The works were donated in 2025 by the Romanian Commercial Bank. The donation includes painting, sculpture and decorative art signed by Romanian artists from the 20th century and from the contemporary period.
The opening brings the new patrimonial fund into dialogue with works from the historical collections of the Bucharest Pinacoteca. The public will be able to see creations signed by Milița Petrașcu, Gheorghe Anghel, Marius Bunescu, Ion Mândrescu, Florin Ciubotaru, Petru Lucaci, Alexandru Ghilduș and Teodor Vescu.
Donation for the public heritage The Bucharest City Museum presents the donation as an important moment for the Bucharest Pinacoteca. According to the institution, it is the first institutional donation of such magnitude intended for the Pinacoteca.
Through this approach, works preserved until now in private heritage become accessible to the public and enter the cultural circuit of the Capital. The exhibition is curated by museographers Ana Maria Măciucă-Pufu and Vlad Vieru.
