On the evening of August 31, 2026, on the eve of the day of remembrance of the Don Icon of the Mother of God, Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin performed a polyeleos service in the Cathedral of St. Simeon the Stylite in Brest, co-served by the cathedral clergy.

During the service, Archbishop John anointed the faithful with blessed oil.

At the end of the service, His Eminence addressed the believers with an archpastoral word.

Спасибо за новость. Хорошо, что владыка Иоанн сам помазывал всех елеем, это всегда особенно трогает. У нас в Мадриде тоже почитают Донскую икону, буду молиться ей в эти дни.

Me alegra que tengas esa copia de la Donская икона en casa, Sofía. Es bonito sacarla con tu hijo estos días, a mí me pasa lo mismo con la pequeña que nos regalaron en la parroquia. En Madrid creo que la veneran especialmente en la catedral ortodoxa de San Andrés, aunque no estoy segura del todo. ¿La conseguisteis en algún viaje?
